The City of Murfreesboro
InLine was first contacted by the City of Murfreesboro, Tennessee because they needed to improve communication between city departments, particularly their Police and Fire Departments, in order to improve response, record keeping, and information exchange between municipal departments. InLine's network and construction teams designed a citywide network that enables all public safety locations to share resources and exchange information between the protected Police Headquarters LAN servers and all Police and Fire precincts. Murfreesboro's wireless wide area network (WWAN) now effectively connects 16 Police and Fire Department locations and provides unparalleled 24/7 service. InLine's work on this project included consulting, design, tower construction, network installation, VPN implementation, network configuration, monitoring, and network maintenance and support.
Once designed and deployed, the celebrated success of this initial InLine network led Murfreesboro city leaders to once again turn to InLine Government Solutions when they found themselves in need of a monitoring and control network for their Public Works Water and Sewer Department. In direct response to this emerging need, InLine provided the City of Murfreesboro with a custom wireless network design that has met and will continue to meet the growing needs of the Public Works Department, in addition to providing mobile data to specific areas of the city for the use of administrative and public safety personnel.
Autauga County Education System
This system supports over 2500 users at 16 locations, including schools and administrative offices. In order to effectively implement this government solution, InLine's team of engineers designed and deployed a custom hybrid wired/wireless network that spans the entire county, utilizing carrier-class microwave radios in concert with short & long-haul fiber optic cable. This Autauga County network required the implementation of over 35 managed VLAN's to provide student, faculty, and administrative networks over the same system.
This expansive system currently provides LAN, WAN, Internet, and real-time video for county-wide School Board operations, which have enabled Autauga County to eliminate numerous costly T1 lines by consolidating all of their data and videoconference Distance Learning systems into a single network. InLine has also worked with this client to implement a county-wide Voice over IP (VoIP) system that further reduces costs by eliminating all toll charges between the schools. The VoIP system also enables the consolidation of all POTS lines within the school district. In support of this project, InLine also worked with Autauga County officials to help them obtain Federal E-Rate funding to pay for this network.
The City of Montgomery
When the Fire Department in the City of Montgomery, Alabama had a need for more effective and efficient information exchange, they turned to the experts at InLine Government Solutions. The InLine team went right to work and engineered and deployed a solution based on an original Wide Area Network design. This advanced Fire Department communications network employs a combination of wireless and wired technology to interconnect all Montgomery Fire Stations and make state-of-the-art communications and connectivity available to all Fire Department personnel. InLine built the Fire Department network system from the ground up, performing all work from the initial engineering to all aspects of the construction and deployment. The Montgomery Fire Department has now enjoyed the benefits of this advanced communications network for over 3 years and praises the reliability and speed the network provides.
This network also receives the praises of the citizens of Montgomery, because the network InLine designed and deployed actually increased the effectiveness of the Montgomery Fire Department to such an extent that the Fire Department's efficiency rating increased as judged by the Fire Insurance industry. This official efficiency increase resulted in a decrease of all insurance premium rates that Montgomery residents must pay to insure their businesses and homes against fire damage, thereby saving the citizens of Montgomery millions of dollars on an annual basis. The entire City of Montgomery has therefore enjoyed huge benefits from this custom InLine Government Solution.
