The InGuard E-Mail Guardian enables you to take back control of your e-mail system from phishers, spammers, viruses and other sources of unwanted e-mail.
InGuard's sophisticated spam detection system submits each piece of incoming e-mail to over 2,250 unique tests to determine how Spam-like the e-mail may be. InGuard also tracks frequent e-mailers of good e-mail to avoid penalizing flyers and monthly offers from known-good sources. Plus, InGuard's sophisticated Bayesian filter scans new e-mail and actually learns your mail preferences over time to identify spam intelligently.
Tested mail will fall into one of three categories: Good, Spam, or Deleted. Good mail will appear in your mailbox normally. E-mail determined to be spam will appear in your inbox with the subject line modified to include the word "SPAM" for easy identification. E-mail that is unquestionably spam will be deleted before reaching your mailbox.
With the optional virus protection enables, all malicious scripts and file attachments will be removed before reaching your inbox. Attachments that can be cleaned will be cleaned and reattached. Attachments that can not be cleaned will be replaced by a notification explaining the type of infection removed.
