What is InVault?
InVault is InLine’s second generation Online Backup System. InLine has been providing online backup for over 5 years, and has more experience providing these types of services than any other provider in the area.
With InVault a special backup client is loaded onto the systems to be protected. On a defined schedule, even if the machine is logged out, the client finds all changed data in the areas it is responsible for protecting, encrypts and compresses the data and uploads it to InLine’s secure data vault. You get an e-mail every morning telling you exactly what was backed up, and if there were any errors. You even get an e-mail if the scheduled backup is missed for any reason. That way you know your data is being protected. If you need to get your data back, you can easily restore it from the InVault client with point and click simplicity, or you can even log into a secure web interface and retrieve that data from any machine in the world with an internet connection.
Clients tend to think of worst case scenarios with their servers and accounting or line of business data, but InVault is for the everyday disasters too. Just imagine your notebook is lost or stolen on an important business trip, but you have InVault. You can login to your secure web portal from the client’s machine and retrieve the current copy of your proposal and PowerPoint on the spot. Your presentation is saved.

InVault uses reliable and highly secure 128 bit encryption based on the twofish algorithm, one of the final contenders for the nation’s next encryption standard for the 21st century. Even if you had the world’s most powerful supercomputer, it would take you over 37,000 years to try all the possible encryption keys that InVault can use. In addition your already encrypted data is transmitted using the same 128 bit SSL encryption used to protect all of your financial and credit transactions on the web for a double layer of protection. Even InLine’s own Data Center staff cannot access your encrypted information in our vault unless YOU provide us the encryption key. Your data is even automatically replicated to a 2nd vault every night in InLine’s secondary data center for the ultimate in security.
